Prompted

Privacy Policy

Last updated 12 July 2026

Draft — plain-language placeholder while Prompted is in a small closed alpha. It describes what the service actually does today; the wording will be finalised before a public launch.

Prompted is a place to ask a question and have a real person — not an AI — answer it, and to answer strangers in return. It is for adults: you must be 18 or older to use it. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

We don't ask for your real name, and we don't sell your data or run advertising.

When you block or report someone

Blocking or reporting someone keeps a copy of that exchange — the prompt, the answer, and the chat — so that a person on our side can review what happened. We keep it even if the conversation is later deleted. This is how we keep the space safe for strangers.

How we use it

What's public, and what's never public

A private chat is never made public. The only thing that can become public is an exchange both people agree to share — and only the prompt and its answer, shown without names, on the shared results wall. Either person can withdraw that at any time.

How long we keep it

Who else touches your data

We use a few trusted services to run Prompted: Supabase (our database and sign-in), Resend (sending email), and Vercel (hosting the site). They process data on our behalf and don't use it for their own purposes.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. During the alpha it may change as the product does.
